What a thrill to have this young dog win both Best of Breed and Best In Sweepstakes at the same National Specialty, a first for the breed. Frank is pictured at 15 months of age winning under English Breeder

Frank arrived from England at just 8 weeks of age at the
end of June 2011. He was bred by Angelia & Nick May of Sengalas Beardies in the UK.

His sire is Indy, Eng.Ch. Sengalas Indiana Jones. This very handsome slate dog has
already made his mark in the show ring:

Frank’s began his show career by being shown in the baby puppy class where he won Best Baby Puppy in Show at his first show!

He achieved his Canadian Championship undefeated and won Best Puppy In Show at the prestigious Purina National, on the same day his sire Indy won Best of Breed and Group 2nd at Crufts!

Frank picked up his first 5 point major for his US championship before he turned a year old at the National Capital Bearded Collie Club specialty in Maryland, under Linda Peirson of Kiltondale. He also won the Bearded Collie Club of Canada National Specialty as well as Best In Sweepstakes (the only beardie to win both at the same specialty) that same year under breeder judges Caroline Nicholson (Shilstone) and Rosie Schroeder (US) respectively.

Frank was shown selectively in the US to finish his championship under breeder judges Geoff Spurrier and Kevin Young and he won the Great Lakes Bearded Collie Club Regional specialty under Robert Ballantyne. He was also awarded highly at many other specialties by the late Wendy Hines, Catharine Moffat, Althea Richardson, Charlotte Laning Vrethammar (SE), Sharon Ipser (US) and Charlott Sanberg (SE).

In 2014 Julie and Frank travelled to England to participate at Crufts. It was a trip of a lifetime and he handled the journey well, showed to perfection and placed in a large, high quality open class under Lesley Tomlinson.

Frank had an illustrious show career in Canada as Top Bearded Collie and #6 Herding Dog in 2015, winning 10 All Breed Bests In Show and 50 Group 1sts during his show career He competed at Westminster in NYC and was a hit with the throngs of photographers at the show, with his pictures appearing in five publications around the world. . He is a well built masculine boy, with lovely length,  smooth easy movement and an extremely engaging personality.

He attained numerous Rally Obedience titles in Canada and the US, tying for first place with his housemate Lexi, for the BCCA Annual Rally Novice award!

He has also had much success in producing some beautiful puppies around the world. He has get living in Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Finland, Canada and the United States. He tied for top sire in the US, with his son winning Best of Breed at the 2016 National Specialty under David Hyde and his daughter  winning Best Opposite Sex at the 2019 National under Caroline Nicholson. Another son won best puppy in breed at the World Dog Show in 2017 as well as several others are best in show and best in specialty winners.

Frank has been an incredible ambassador for the breed. He’s never met a person or child he didn’t like. In his spare time he visited retirement homes, gracing the residents with his happy personality and kisses. He was also the mascot for the Alzheimer Society’s local Walk For Memories.
